The Majlis started recording traditional music in 1997 when the Sarawak Museum invited the Majlis to take part in organizing various ethnic music workshops that year.  The Majlis collection is not voluminous, but parts of the collection, especially the sape’ music are of good quality. This collection is no doubt of value to ethnomusicologists and those interested in traditional musics. Titles are available at the Majlis Office upon request.
